July 2019 Meeting
July meeting was full of colorful quilts, a well researched presentation about “Kurak” – Nomad Quilts from Central Asia by Elmira Aleynikova. It was very interesting to learn about the patterns used which are very close to the traditional blocks and the conventional Uzbek colours are very close to African Masaai colours which are red, black and white.
