August 2020 Monthly Meeting
Members were welcomed. Holding an August meeting is unusual, but so are these times. Our guest from Nakuru was welcomed.
The workshop on ‘No Waste Flying Geese’ was attended by 18 members. The instructions are in this month’s Snippets. Members are asked to suggest subjects for other workshops.
Sheryl went over the process of entering quilts into exhibitions: Entry forms, fees, following rules, judging etc. Dena and Gill will put together guidelines for judging which will guide members in the future.
Charity: Rohini has requested that members please make small baby quilts by the end of the month. They needn’t be larger than 30’ x 40”, but can be any size. They can be whole cloth or as simple as members wish. Neela has
Mystery Quilt: We hope the panels will arrive before the September meeting when we will start the quilt directions. 13 members have ordered panels, plus those making their own.
Amber presented a slide show on the Exhibition. It will be put onto the website.
