January 2019 Meeting

What a gorgeous and colourful way to start the new year for KQG. The highlight of the meeting was the most wonderful Pam Holland.
The members were mesmerised while Pam took us on her amazing journey of how she started Quilting. We enjoyed beautiful illustrations of different sources of textiles, the processes involved and the inspirations she finds in nature and humans.

The Kenya Quilt Guild is honoured to have a visit from quilting legend Pam Holland who will be in Nairobi for ten days holding classes.

Pam started off her quilting career with her 1776 quilt, “Heartache, Heritage and Happiness” which she donated to the International Quilt Study Centre and Museum in the US.

In her presentation she will show us how she combines all her skills to create beautiful and original quilts.

Starting from tomorrow, our members embark on their own journey of learning.

Sheryl brought her lovely quilt and Salama Mamas showed off their beautiful blue quilt. Rohini and Delia won a printed panel from Pam Holland as a door prize.

Keep watching this spot for more exciting events.
